Located 40 km from the City of Saguenay, a little pearl of a village is nestled in the tall rock walls of the Fjord; it is no coincidence that Sainte-Rose-du-Nord has been hallmarked by the Association des plus beaux villages du Québec (Most Beautiful Villages of Québec). Several hiking trails border the town, some of which lead to breathtaking scenic lookouts. The municipal pier is a nice place to relax at the foot of a mountainous landscape overlooking the Saguenay River.
